La Jolla - Our favorite haunt

We took Cheryl there to enjoy some Coast Toast from Brockton Villa. Sierra enjoyed scribbling with a crayon and her chopped up strawberries and grapes (courtesy of Mommy) while we gobbled up our food!

Afterwards, we went to walk off our massive bellies...

Sierra spies the pelicans and was super excited! Waving her arms and going "Ka ka ka!" repeatedly.

These pigtails lasted only long enough for me to snap a few shots. Oh well, they were cute for the entire couple of minutes they lasted...

It was a beautiful sunny weekend and we stopped by La Jolla Shores to test out Sierra's new bucket and shovel. She's not the hugest fan of sand, but it's something she'll just have to get over as a California Girl.

Sierra is not yet the fearless swimmer that we would like her to someday be. However, hopefully, she'll slowly get more comfortable with the pool and turn into a little fish one day.

In the meantime, she really enjoys her time in her "boat".

Yes, it does seem like Sierra is eating all the time, huh?

Every year, our community has a free Easter Egg Hunt for the community kids. It's a pretty overwhelming and crowded event!

Dancing with Classical Baby

Sierra received the HBO Classical Baby series from our good friend Jenny... She absolutely loves this series, will sit on the couch completely absorbed, sometimes imitating the baby conductor, and always clapping along at the end of each piece.

Eating Breakfast

Sierra stayed home from daycare due to a cold.

Just a long clip of her having breakfast... saying "Hi!" and hugging Baby Bear... feeding Mommy... saying "Uh oh!"...

Reading with Daddy and Mommy

Ever since starting daycare in late January, Sierra has expressed a much stronger interest in books! She will grab a book, hand it to you, sit on your lap, and expect you to read to her.

She has a burgeoning collection of board books and loves reading them every day.

Here she expects Daddy to read two books at once!

Happy 14 months, Sierra!

Jury duty let me out early, so I picked Sierra up and took her to the Wild Animal Park! What a nice way to spend a beautiful afternoon....

She climbed up on this alligator all by herself.

Not afraid of water fountains...

Last night, Dave and I got the pleasure to see Scott in action... conducting the orchestra for the Joffrey Ballet performance of Cinderella.

The following morning, we spent some quality time with Scott, chilling in front of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion's water fountains. Sierra has no fear!
